Leh Ladakh Adventure Tour

Arrive at Leh Airport (3,500m). IMPORTANT: On arrival day, rest completely and allow your body to acclimatise to the high altitude. Drink plenty of water, avoid alcohol and heavy food, sleep early. Light evening walk to Leh Market and Shanti Stupa for sunset views only.

After breakfast and a health check, begin sightseeing. Morning: Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa, and Namgyal Tsemo Gompa. Afternoon drive to Sangam — the dramatic confluence of the blue Zanskar and muddy Indus rivers. Visit Magnetic Hill and Gurudwara Pathar Sahib.

Full-day monastery excursion. Morning: Thiksey Monastery — 12-storey hilltop complex with the finest Maitreya Buddha statue in Ladakh. Afternoon: Hemis Monastery — the largest and wealthiest gompa in Ladakh. Optional visit to Shey Palace ruins.

Early morning drive via Khardung La Pass (5,359m). Spend time at the pass for photographs. Descend to Nubra Valley. Visit Diskit Monastery and the giant Maitreya Buddha. Evening Bactrian camel safari on Hunder sand dunes.

Morning at leisure. Drive the spectacular Shyok River road to Pangong Lake (approx. 5 hours). Arrive as the afternoon light turns the lake turquoise. Sunset at the lake. Overnight camping under the Milky Way.

Wake before dawn for the sunrise over Pangong — one of the world's great natural spectacles. Morning walk along the lakeshore. Afternoon photography and exploration at leisure. Second night of stargazing under the Himalayan sky.

Early morning drive back to Leh (5 hours) via Chang La Pass (5,360m). Arrive Leh in time for afternoon or evening flight. Tour ends at Leh Airport.
