Please read this policy before booking. Refunds are governed by when you cancel relative to your tour start date. We encourage all travelers to consider travel insurance to protect against unexpected cancellations.
Overview
At iC Kashmir, we understand that plans sometimes change. Our refund policy is designed to be fair to both our clients and our business, which must commit to hotels, transportation, and local services well in advance of your tour dates.
Refunds are only applicable to amounts paid to iC Kashmir directly. Any third-party charges (airfares, permits, visa fees) are subject to the refund policies of those respective providers and are outside our control.
All refund requests must be submitted in writing. Verbal cancellations are not accepted.
Refund Schedule
The following refund schedule applies to standard tour package cancellations. The โdaysโ refer to calendar days before your scheduled tour start date.

Non-Refundable Items
Regardless of when you cancel, the following costs are non-refundable as they represent confirmed costs already incurred by iC Kashmir:
- Advance payments made to hotels during peak season (JuneโSeptember, DecemberโJanuary)
- Permits (Inner Line Permit, Wildlife Sanctuary permits, etc.)
- Amarnath Yatra registrations and helicopter bookings
- Special event tickets or entry fees already purchased
- Non-refundable airfare or train tickets booked on your behalf
- Any third-party bookings explicitly communicated as non-refundable at time of booking
We will always inform you in advance if any component of your tour is non-refundable.
Force Majeure Refunds
In the event of cancellations due to extraordinary circumstances beyond our control (natural disasters, government orders, pandemics, war, civil unrest, etc.), the following applies:
- Full cancellation before tour starts: We will issue a credit note valid for 12 months for the full amount paid, less any non-recoverable third-party costs.
- Mid-tour cancellation: A proportionate refund will be calculated for unused services, less non-recoverable costs already committed.
- Cash refunds in force majeure situations are processed after recovery from third-party suppliers and may take 30โ90 days.
We strongly recommend travel insurance to cover force majeure events, as our ability to provide refunds is limited by what we are able to recover from our suppliers.
Partial & Mid-Tour Refunds
Early Departure
If you choose to leave a tour early for personal reasons (illness, family emergency, dissatisfaction), no refund is provided for unused services unless iC Kashmir is directly at fault for the situation necessitating your early departure.
Service Failure by iC Kashmir
If we fail to deliver a confirmed service included in your package (e.g., a hotel is unavailable and no alternative is provided), you are entitled to a proportionate refund for that specific service. We will calculate this fairly and transparently.
Unused Services
No refund is provided for services included in your package but not utilized by you due to personal choice, late arrival, or other reasons within your control.
How to Request a Refund
To initiate a cancellation and refund request:
Send a written cancellation request
Email us at info@ickashmir.in with your booking reference, tour dates, and reason for cancellation.
Receive acknowledgement
We will acknowledge your request within 1 working day and confirm the applicable refund amount based on our schedule.
Confirm bank details
Provide your bank account details (account number, IFSC code, account name) for the refund transfer.
Refund processed
We process the refund to your bank account within the timeframe specified in the next section.
Refund Processing Time
Once a refund is approved and your bank details are confirmed, we aim to process refunds within the following timeframes:

Refunds are processed via bank transfer (NEFT/IMPS) to the account details you provide. We do not process refunds to a third party's account. Processing times may vary during public holidays or bank delays.
